The general terms and conditions (T&C) regulate the legal relationship between the customer and Hotel Orchidee AG. Regardless of the type of service, these terms and conditions always refer to a contract. Only the terms and conditions of Hotel Orchidee AG apply that were valid at the time the contract was concluded. By submitting a booking, the customer expressly agrees to these terms and conditions. The general terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

Should individual provisions of this contract be or become ineffective or void, this shall not affect the effectiveness of the contract or the remaining provisions. Otherwise, the statutory provisions apply.

The contractual partners are the guest (individual or company) and Hotel Orchidee AG. The con-tract for the reservation of rooms or other services comes into effect with the written confirmation by the hotel. Changes to the contract only become binding for Hotel Orchidee AG once they have been confirmed in writing. Unilateral changes or additions to the contract by the guest are not effective.

Letters and e-mails are regarded as written confirmations.



The scope of the contract is determined by the individual reservation made by the guest. If the agreed service is not available despite a confirmed reservation, Hotel Orchidee AG must inform the guest immediately and offer an equivalent replacement in a nearby replacement hotel / res-taurant of a comparable category. Any additional expenses for the replacement hotel / restaurant will be carried by Hotel Orchidee AG. If the guest rejects the replacement offer, Hotel Orchidee AG will reimburse the services already provided by the guest. Further expenses (e.g. travel expenses) cannot be claimed.


The hotel rooms shall be ready for occupation to the guest from 3 p.m. on the date of arrival and shall be vacated by 11 a.m. on the date of departure. Day use with a surcharge by arrangement.


By concluding the contract, the guest acquires the right to normal use of the rented rooms. When the roof terrace is not used for events, it is available to hotel guests during the opening hours of the restaurant.


The prices quoted by Hotel Orchidee AG are in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include VAT.

The written confirmation sent by Hotel Orchidee AG is considered a contract. As a guarantee for Hotel Orchidee AG, the credit card details are requested when the booking is made.

If you arrive after 7 p.m. on the day of arrival, Hotel Orchidee AG must be informed in advance.

For stays of five nights or more, as well as for group reservations and banquets, a deposit of 30% is due after receipt of confirmation no later than 20 days before arrival / before the event.


A withdrawal by the guest from the contract with Hotel Orchidee AG must be made in writing and is only valid with the corresponding written confirmation by Hotel Orchidee AG. Services that Hotel Orchidee AG had to provide in advance based on the guest's wishes will be invoiced under any conditions.

Cost consequences in the event of withdrawal:

- Up to 8 days before arrival: Free of charge
- 4-7 days before arrival: 50% according to the order confirmation
- 0 -3 days before arrival: 100% according to the order confirmation

Postponing the same booking within the same calendar year has no cost consequences.

Hotel Orchidee AG is entitled to withdraw from the contract for objectively justified reasons by means of unilateral written declarations. The following apply as such:

- Force majeure (e.g. natural events such as earthquakes, floods) or other circumstances for which Hotel Orchidee AG is not responsible, which make it impossible to fulfil the contract
- If Hotel Orchidee AG has justified cause to assume that the use of the agreed service can im-pair the smooth business operations, the safety of the hotel guests or the reputation of the ho-tel
- In the event of a justified withdrawal by the hotel, the guest has no right to compensation. Payments already made will be refunded.


Hotel Orchidee AG is liable for items brought by the guest in accordance with the statutory provi-sions. Hotel Orchidee AG is not liable in case of theft.

The guest is liable to Hotel Orchidee AG for all damages and loss caused by him or his companions, without the hotel having to prove that the guest is at fault. If the booking was made via a third par-ty, this party is liable to Hotel Orchidee AG as the main debtor for all obligations under the contract.

The guest is liable to third parties for services and expenses incurred by Hotel Orchidee AG.


Pets are very welcome in the guest rooms of the Hotel Orchidee Burgdorf.


Lost property will be forwarded if the ownership structure is clear and the address of the guest is known. The guest bears the costs and the risk of subsequent shipping. After a three-month retention period, the lost property is handed over to the local lost property office.


Burgdorf is the place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from this contract. Swiss law applies exclusively to all contracts, reservations, any additional agreements and general conditions. The place of fulfilment and payment is the headquarters of Hotel Orchidee AG.


The general terms and conditions are an integral part of the guest accommodation contract re-gardless of the type of booking (by phone, internet or otherwise). By tacitly agreeing to the contract, the guest confirms that he has read and accepted the general terms and conditions.
